*JULY IS FIRE AWARENESS MONTH AT 2828 PEACHTREE*

The month of July will be "Fire Awareness Month" here at 2828 Peachtree and we along with your HOA Board and Childress Klein Property
Management Services would like to ask that all Homeowners please take the time to think about what course of action you would personally take during an emergency evacuation of the Building. Things for consideration in your thought process would be the fact that you have 2 stairwells on your floor, Stairwell A (South) & Stairwell B (North) that you may access in order to make your way to the ground floor. When you have the opportunity and if you are physically able to do so please walk down one of the Stairwells just to get the feel of how long it might take and to familiarize yourself with this path of travel to the ground level exit. There are also 2 Stairwells on the 6th floor outside observation deck which lead to the outside ground area. When the "Major Fire Alarm" sounds always keep in mind that all of the stairwell doors of the building automatically unlock and this allows you to cross over from Stairwells A & B as the need arises. You would also be able to travel down either stairwell and exit on the 6th floor outside observation deck area and then proceed to the north side Stairwells C & D and make your way from the 6th floor onto the grounds near the dumpster paddock area. This gives you options in making your way from your home to the motorcourt area. If this event ever does occur all Homeowners are asked to please congregate on the sidewalk on Peachtree Road, we would need to leave the motorcourt as well as the lobby area clear and passable for the array of emergency vehicles and personnel that would descend on the Building. Also, in this time of emergency the Concierge has many different tasks to accomplish and has little time to answer your questions. Your job is to think about your personal safety and clear the way for the Firefighters to save this building. The one thing every Homeowner could do to help prevent this event from ever taking place is to purchase a Fire Extinguisher for their home. There is a "Fire Drill" which is in the planning stages for 2828 and we will be notifying you soon of this event and ask that everyone please participate. I would like to hear from any Homeowner who lives here the year around and would be interested in becoming one of the building's "Fire Marshals". We will need several volunteers who would help maintain order during the evacuation of this building. Thank You!


2828 Peachtree Parking Policy

2828 Peachtree Condominium Association, Inc. PARKING & TOWING: Guests who are given access to park beyond the second gate in the 2828 Peachtree dedicated parking area are prohibited from parking in spaces marked ‘Reserved’. ‘Reserved’ signs designate the spaces for which exclusive use has been granted to specific 2828 Peachtree owners or residents. Unauthorized vehicles parked in ‘Reserved’ spaces are subject to immediate towing upon request of the owner or resident for whom such space is reserved. Except for very short term parking, parking other than in the ten designated parking spaces in the motorcourt is prohibited. Owners and residents of 2828 Peachtree and Crestwood are required to park in their respective parking areas in the 2828 Peachtree garage after 6pm each day to maximize the availability of motorcourt spaces for the guests of residents of both properties. To maximize the availability of motorcourt guest parking during the day, it is suggested that owners, tenants and residents of 2828 Peachtree and Crestwood park in their designated garage areas. From 6pm through 6am. Motorcourt spaces are reserved for guests only. Vehicles belonging to owners or residents of 2828 Peachtree or Crestwood parked in the motorcourt during these times will be
tagged with stickers by the 2828 Peachtree Concierge, and are subject to towing if still parked after a period of 24 hours from the time of initial tagging. Any vehicle may be towed without notice if parked in a fire lane, if blocking another vehicle, if obstructing the flow of traffic, if obstructing an entrance or exit travel lane causing cars to move from the designated travel path, if parked on any landscaped area, if parked for more than 30 minutes at or near the front entrance to 2828, or if the vehicle creates a safety hazard or situation in any other way. Only if time and circumstances permit, will the Concierge attempt to ascertain the vehicle's owner to request immediate removal of the vehicle to avoid it being towed. The owner of a towed vehicle will be responsible for all towing costs.
