Fire Drill
At least once a year the building management will conduct a fire drill. During
this drill all residents are encouraged to participate. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS
- USE THE STAIRWAYS. You will be given instructions through
the speaker located
in your home.
Throughout the year, the maintenance manager, building management, and the
outside contractor routinely test all devices, including smoke detectors, fire
extinguishers, pull stations, flow and tamper switches. We recommend that
occupants test the smoke detectors in their home on a monthly basis.
In the event of a false alarm or small fire that has been contained and does not
require evacuation, the Front Desk Concierge will announce "All Clear."
DO NOT DISREGARD A GENERAL ALARM UNTIL YOU HEAR
'ALL CLEAR'.
Evacuation Plan
Emergency exits
are located on each floor. The main lobby level and the service level
are adequately marked with EXIT signs. Emergency evacuation routes are clearly
posted on the backs of the elevator lobby doors of each floor.
The building has two main elevators operating within the building, from the
garage to the top residential floor. In the event of an alarm, the elevator call
plates on each floor will flash EMERGENCY - USE STAIRWELL. Each elevator will
park on the LOBBY Level in the event of a general alarm. Elevator keys are
available only to the Concierge, with instructions to release elevators only
after the general alarm has been investigated and cleared. Each elevator is
equipped with an emergency telephone located on the left side of the interior of
the elevator door. Anyone can reach the Concierge with the use of this
telephone.
