Don't you think that 2828
Peachtree should have an American flag flying in our motorcourt? When I
could, way back, I discussed this with the developer, with no success. As
a signature building, I sincerely believe we need a flag. And a big one at
that.
Basically, our scale, and dimensions can sustain a 50' pole (one foot for
each state!) based to the west of the parking sign in the motorcourt
island with the single big tree (at the south end of the motorcourt). My
proposal would call for lighting aimed upward from the flag pole base to
illuminate the flag. This way the flag could legally fly at all hours. The
pole would be an internal halyard aluminum pole with a matte satin finish
to match the aluminum all over the face of our building; the flag will be
raised with a hand crank inside the base. The flag would be a durable
outdoor nylon flag measuring 10' x 15' with a rotating truck.
This is an expensive project to do properly, as the pole
must be able to withstand high winds to be safe. Since this
project is unbudgeted for
expense, I am asking for donations of $200 to pay for it. We will need
between 28 and 34 such donations to complete this project. Many people
have already pledged their support. Will you join these patriots?
